CPT TONY WINBORN,
My third great-grandmother, FRANCES GRUBBS EDWARDS was Wiley Grubbs sister, making Joe, her nephew. I stumbled upon my family history, in Monticello, where Joe Grubbs is buried, in a cemetery filled with my ancestors. I had no idea, as I always believed them to be from south Georgia. How humbling to know, the area I was always drawn to, was where they were from. It made me interested in Mr. Grubbs, and I was further stunned, to find out he was a relative. Nice to meet you, cousin! Be safe out there. There are too many names of fine officers in this memorial, already.
