3 years ago while on a mounted patrol on the Louisville Loop my partners and I took a break and walked into a wooded area and noticed propped up against a tree was 2 shotguns 1 a sawed off 12 Ga. and 1 410 Ga. the 12 ga had a note attatched to it with this wrote on it..." This is the gun that killed Sheriff Deputy Jack Riddle on 18th and Broadway by Jim Mulligan 1933" we brought the guns back to the office and called the sheriffs office and asked about the officer, I was told that he was shot by a 12 ga, in 1933 and the guys was cought. I asked what should I do with the guns and if they wanted them. I was told no and end of conversation... I also called one of the news stations and told them the story and was told they would get back to me... that was 3 years ago. So I did some research myself and found the story you can see it if you search ( Deputy Sheriff Crockett M. "Jack" Riddell ) I found it interesting to find a pice of Louisville's macob history. My respect to his family.
