John Wheat Parsons

Tyler County Special Deputy Sheriff John W. Parsons’ pistol fell from his pocket, discharging, and fatally wounding him. He died at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 1904.

Parsons was buried in the Segrest Cemetery in Tyler County. He was survived by his wife, Amanda Goode Parsons, and son, E. Thurston Parsons.
