Jerome Jackson

Deputy Sheriff Jerome Jackson was killed when his patrol car was involved in a crash.

He was on duty in his patrol car and was pulling out of the Sheriff's Office parking lot when his car was struck head-on by a minivan. Deputy Jackson was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Deputy Jackson had served with the McDuffie County Sheriff's Office for 15 years. He is survived by his wife and child.

I think about you all the time "Jack, The God Father, CB Handle", I can remember when I first arrived in Warrenton, Ga. Meeting as the first and becoming a friend to the end. I can remember you riding around with me in my Warren County Police Patrol car , Unit # 007. I see the BIG grin on your face as I sit here typing this reflection. I also remember you saying to me that you would really like to be a Police Officer, and I said to you to go for it "Jack" and again with that BIG Grin you said I am and you did.
