Officer Richard Bell was shot and killed while responding to a disturbance call at a local home. He was shot in the chest several times when he entered the residence.
Of the three suspects arrested, one was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to eight years in prison.
Officer Bell was survived by his wife and five children and is buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshome, Oklahoma.
