When ever I see a fellow West Virginia police officer that has been taken from us, it takes me back to the sweetness of being from West Virginia. I did not know Sgt. Thompson but I am sure that he was a fine man, deputy and Marine. Your death in the service of your fellow man will never be forgotten and will remain respected forever. Thank you and all like you that have paid the ultimate price.
