For 7 years we worked out together at Powerhouse Gym and worked Detroit's westside. It has taken me 17 years to walk back into the gym and bench, but today I did. As I stood staring at the weights I could hear your voice telling me it was time. As I looked up at the weights from the bench all I heard was, "Focus. You got this." And then it happened, just like that I hit 135 for 5 unassisted. I stood up from the bench and cried.

I'm sorry that it has taken me this long to acknowledge you, but I'm finally able to grieve your loss. There has not been a day that you are not thought of. Till we meet again my friend.
