Larry,
I am still dispatching. It will be 50 years next year. In that time I have lost 4 of my wonderful friends in the line of duty. You were the first. The hurt never goes away. My son was a deputy and my grandson, his son, now works with me at the Sheriff's Office as a deputy. I never stop worrying about my family, the biological ones and the LEO ones. You and your family were such an inspiration to me. Max died several years ago and I am now married to another officer that I have known since kindergarten. I never stop worrying about my officers or loving them. Rest In Peace, my forever friend.
