Kurt David Knapp
Trooper Knapp was killed when he lost control of his patrol car and struck another vehicle.
Trooper Knapp was driving eastbound on I-10, near Comfort, early Saturday. When he entered the median, he lost control and skidded into the westbound lanes. A car traveling westbound hit the passenger side of his patrol car, killing him.
Trooper Knapp had served with the Texas Department of Public Safety for 5 years. He is survived by his wife and two children.
