Your story was shared with me back at Delta College Police Academy by your mother. She spoke of your memorial and showed us pictures. I had passed by the memorial many times and overlooked it. For that, I am sorry. As a new Deputy for our Department, I see the love and support that everyone still has for you and your memory. Every day I walk into the Kevin Sherwood Memorial Dispatch Center, I am honored to serve the same department as you. I have lived your story and with that, I feel a connection to it. I will continue to pray for your family.
