James Gabriel Hawkins

Constable James Hawkins was shot and killed while escorting a prisoner to the courthouse.

The man had just been arrested for resisting arrest. As they walked to the courthouse the man suddenly pulled out a gun and shot Constable Hawkins in the chest.

The suspect was sentenced to life for Constable Hawkins' murder but was released after serving only three years.

Constable Hawkins had been employed with the Yavapai County Constable's Office for three months.

....Aged thirty ears...Whether aged 65, or perhaps 85 years... an HONORABLE PROFESSION such as "Constable" shouldn't carry w/it the hazardous duty of having ANY life-ENDING duty attached to it~ ...The story doesn't tell the viewers HERE that the man known as ( officer "Jimmy Hawkins") suffered for almost 4 hrs. w/his chest wound before succumbing to death.... =}}}-------------> ANOTHER example of needless death and outright murder, with a penalty of WHAT 3 stinking years...? ____NOT only Jimmy, aged 30 years, but many others that have put their very lives on "the-line" on a daily basis, have MORE than earned my respect and gratitude...~ (1861) you say...? ...Well tell THAT TO HIS GREAT-GREAT GRAND CHILDREN of which never got to know what a great MAN he was~...... =}}-----> "Rest easy, Jimmy, rest with honor my brother" ~
