Edward Bonnet

Patrolman Edward Bonnet was killed in a motorcycle crash while attempting to stop a speeding motorist on 16th Avenue.

His motorcycle collided with another car at South 10th Street, and he was thrown to the ground. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The speeding motorist was never apprehended.

Patrolman Bonnet had served with the Newark Police Division for 20 years. He was survived by his wife and child.
