Police Officer JoAnn Liscombe succumbed to a gunshot wound sustained three days earlier while making a check on a suspicious person near the intersection of Patricia Ridge Drive and Old Halls Ferry Road at approximately 1:13 am.
The subject who shot her was arrested, convicted of second degree murder, and sentenced to life in prison.
Officer Liscombe had served with the St. Louis County Police Department for 16 years. She was survived by her parents.
