Deputy Boulware was shot and killed when he led a posse to capture two suspects wanted for armed robbery of a bank. The posse was met with gunfire as they attempted to arrest the suspects. Deputy Boulware was shot in the leg and bled to death. One of the suspects was shot and killed and the other was shot and seriously wounded.
Deputy Boulware had been with the agency for 10 years and was survived by his wife and three children.
