Captain Baxter was shot and killed while trying to arrest a domestic abuser. The suspect was captured a short time later.

The suspect was convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.

Captain Baxter was survived by his wife.

Now it's 143 years and I salute a true pioneer in Massachusetts Law Enforcement. I have a feeling you are looking down now in disgust at how things have gone in this Great Commonwealth as far as "Justice" is concerned.
