In the early 1960's I was a young Sgt at Folsom Prison. Roger Bauman and another deputy were sent from the Sacrmento SO for a week of training at Folsom. I got to know Roger as I was assigned to work with them during the training session.. Roger was a giant of a man both physically and personality. I vividly recall discussing his body building techniques. He was an avid supporter of the "Vic Tanny" Gym program of the era. I too was greatly affected by his untimely and unnecessary death. I still think of Roger often. He was the the type of person who made an immediate lasting impact upon meeting him.
