MY FRIEND, J. D., AND I WERE CLASSMATES ALL THRU HIGH SCHOOL IN CENTER, TEXAS, IN THE 40s. HE WAS A FINE PERSON, AND MAN. I WAS SHOCKED, BACK THEN, TO LEARN OF HIS DEATH. FROM THE AGE AND PERSPECTIVE OF 82 YEARS, I AM STILL SHOCKED. AND THINK OF HIM OFTEN. MAY HE ALWAYS REST IN PEACE.
