I first met Danny as an incoming freshman at Castle H. S. in 1970. He was a year older and already known as an athlete and a good person. I’d never heard him speak ill of anyone or anything and have always valued his opinions and conversations we held. He had heart, integrity and good character thruout our years in high school. I later was asked to write a recommendation for him to be a police officer with HPD as I had joined several years prior to his applying. I wrote of his honor, integrity and character as being just what would serve the greater good of HPD and the community we served. A truly good man and a positive reflection of what others should strive to be. Ahui hou Dannygriggs. Until we meet again.
