Officer Jason Cammack was killed in a single vehicle accident while attempting to catch up to two cars on I-64 in Woodford County, Kentucky.

He had just made a U-turn into the westbound lanes when his cruiser left the roadway and entered the median, then crossed the roadway and struck a stone wall on the right side of the highway. Officer Cammack was flown to a local hospital where he died approximately an hour later.

Officer Cammack had served with the Kentucky Division of Motor Vehicle Enforcement for just under two years. He is survived by his wife and 1-year-old son.

Well Jason, U/505, I know it isn't much - but I gave a presentation today in class and I dedicated it to you. You are still very much remembered. I can't believe our kiddos are all grown up! Maddye is out on her own and working and I am so proud of her and I suppose Hayden is probably in college and I know you would be amazed at him. I saw a picture of him presenting an award in your honor a couple of years ago and OH my!!! He is so fine and handsome!

Just know that you are never far from my heart or my mind. I pray for Christa & Hayden often. And I will remember that night for as long as I have a breath in my body.
