Sergeant Otis V. Love and Patrolman Bobby Ray Watson were killed when their patrol car was struck by a drunk driver when they made a U-turn.

The driver of the other car was driving on the wrong side of the road. The driver had a BAC of .08 and, in addition, was not permitted to drive because he was legally blind. As Patrolman Watson was making the U-turn, the other car struck the patrol car. Both officers were killed instantly. The driver of the other car was critically injured.

Sergeant Love had served with the Sheridan Police Department for 8 years. He is survived by his wife, four sons, and seven grandchildren.

On today, the 21st anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for- of just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Armed Forces-especially in Vietnam.
