Officer Sherbo was killed when his patrol car was intentionally rammed by another vehicle during a vehicle pursuit of a stolen car. Officer Sherbo's patrol car burst into flames upon impact. He was transported to a local hospital where he remained in critical condition for 20 hours before succumbing to his injuries.

Four suspects were apprehended at the scene of the crash. The 17-year-old suspect who was driving was sentenced to 15 years.

Officer Sherbo had been with the agency for 3 years. He is survived by his wife and two children.

Was thinking of you today. I wonder what you would be doing now. Would you have stayed past 25 or clocked out. I'm thinking you wouldn't want to put up with all the nonsense in the climate right now, so you would probably be retired enjoying the good life.

You would be so proud of the job Donna and the family have done with the kids. I tell ya, Joe couldn't be more like you. That kid is your twin, like every fiber of him (but he is a little better looking). Caitie is absolutely gorgeous (we know she got those genes from Donna) and I can't keep up with her. That kid is living her best life travelling all over the place.
