Officer Brian Kinsey was shot and killed after arriving at the scene of a domestic disturbance. Officer Kinsey was an FTO and had just arrived at the scene when he was shot with a shotgun while approaching the home. After falling down the suspect walked up to him and shot him again as he was on the ground. The rookie officer with him returned fire, but missed the suspect, who ran back into the home. After a two hour standoff officers used tear gas to flush him out of the house. The suspect was shot and killed after pointing his weapon at the officers.

Officer Kinsey had served with the Jackson Police Department for 5 years. He is survived by his wife, daughter, and parents.

It's ur mom. We're marching toward the 20th anniversary of your needless murder. I never thought I could possibly make it one year & certainly not 20. It's exceedingly gut wrenching. I'm so very sorry that it took your death to show us what a special "boy" you were.
I'm not sure you approve of this public forum but ppl need to know how loved you were/are.
You missed your daughter starting K5, 1st grade, middle school, high school & community college. Now u won't be here for her wedding. I'm so sorry. She was 21 months old when u were murdered & now she's 21 years old. You would be so pleased with her fiancée. He's a good ole country boy, down to earth, doesn't have your country twang---thank goodness!
