It’s been 25 years today. It’s been a long time, but then again…like yesterday. Life changed for so many. Your friendship and your actions inspired many to accomplish great deeds. Your death was not in vain.

“No one left behind” was our agreement during SRT trainings and missions. I hope we carried on with what was important to you. The department is in a better place today due to training, recruitment and community service, greatly in part to your ideals, dedication and sacrifice.

Most of us serving with you have now passed the finish line and wish you were here to celebrate.. We popped a cold one on your birthday this week and again this date in remembrance.

Watch over our Brothers and Sisters still serving as well the Sheepdogs who continue to watch the flock in retirement. Semper Vigilo.

I look forward to the day that we can all be together and laugh. I hope you have a good supply of Coors Light.

Rest In Peace my friend. You are never forgotten!
