George H. Wilson

Officer Wilson was shot and killed while questioning four men near the intersection of Beaubien Street and Champlain Street. He was walking the four men to the call box at the intersection when one of the men shot him three times. Several suspects were questioned but no one was ever charged with Officer Wilson's murder.

Officer Wilson was survived by his wife, two daughters, and son.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 103rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
