My dad was a volunteer deputy sheriff with the sheriffs department. He came along in 86 after Patrolman Williams was murdered. He worked with those deputies who were first hand responders in Kevins murder, including Frank Hidalgo. Frank was my dads partner and 35 years later they are still comrades. Officer Hidalgo was one of those men 1st on the scene and he truly loved Kevin like a brother.
I pay respect to all of those involved as I remember the sacrifice as told to me first as an 18 year old and again when officer Hidalgo and I and my father reconnected years later.
God Bless Officer Williams and his family.
God Bless all of the men and women in Blue.
