Benjamin H. "Ben" Wiggins

Marshal Wiggins was shot and killed when he interrupted a burglary in progress at a furniture store. He was struck on the head with a heavy object and then shot before he could draw his own weapon. His body was not found until the next morning.

Four suspects, ages 20,26,30, and 33 were apprehended and sentenced to life in prison for Marshal Wiggins' murder. One was pardoned by Governor Edward F. Arn March 2, 1952.
