Theodore F. Werdann

Sergeant Theodore Werdann died from injuries received in an automobile collision while on patrol at Driggs Ave and Eckford St.

Sergeant Werdann had served with the New York City Police Department for 40 years and was assigned to the 87th Precinct. He was survived by his wife, five sons, and three daughters. Three of his sons were police officers with the NYPD. His grandson, Police Officer George J. Werdann, would also die in the line of duty.
