I met Kevin when I competed in SWAT competitions in the 1980's. Kevin was instantly a friend to myself and our team. He just had that kind of personality. Coming from the Winter Park Police Department in Florida we first met Kevin when his team came to Florida to compete in our local competition. He instantly became a friend to myself and our team. His skills as a fellow officer and competitor were matched by his skill at being kind to people. We continued our friendship when we traveled to D.C. To compete in their competition. One again Kevin became a fierce competitor and great friend. He was a true professional and a gentleman. He was a hero and role model for many and is still missed to this day.
