John and I were good friends and rode identical motorcycles(Honda 900 customs) at the time! I remember him and I rode them to Six Flags in St. Louis for a few days. Both of us had worked the night shift and ended up falling asleep in the grass for a couple of hours at a rest area half way to St. louis that morning! I use to work of duty at the Trubadour and John would always come and hang out and talk "police work" as he wanted to learn all he could--- and I would say--- John forget that--- check out these girls! I was a State Parole Officer, and a St. Regis Park Police Officer, and John was a Douglas Hills officer before going to Shively! I will always remember the night of February 12, 1986, when the call came out on the radio of an officer down! RIP my friend!
