Approximately 10 minutes later a citizen notified dispatchers that two deputies had been shot.

On May 30, 1973, the suspects, 22 and 28, were apprehended and convicted of burglarizing a home, two counts of capital murder, and sentenced to three life terms.

It is amazing to see how honored and respected you are. I wish I had the honor of knowing you even a little bit. You died when my father, your son, was just 2 years old. I hear stories of you from my grandmother. Wish I could know the walker side of things. I'm just happy you, my dad, and great grandfather are all together now. The walker men.
