Albert Anthony Valentino

Officer Albert Valentino was accidentally shot and killed by a fellow officer while involved in a shootout on a city street.

The suspect involved in the shootout was also shot and killed.

Officer Valentino had served with the Philadelphia Police Department for 12 years. He was survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter born a week after her father's death.

My dad henry strimel sr was real good friends with Al we would always stop by als house on Emerald Street all the time I was a kid then around 10 years old Al always messed with me always talking to my dad for hours it felt like as a kid lol I’ll never forget that green Camaro he had …but Al was a great guy and a great police officer as I’m 45 years old today I never forget the day he passed away seeing my dad cry made me even sadder…I’ll never forget you Al !!
