Deputy Sheriff Joseph Tiano was killed in an automobile accident when his patrol car left the roadway and struck a tree near Lake Floyd at 11:00 pm.

Deputy Tiano served with the Harrison County Sheriff's Office for six years. He was survived by his wife and seven children.

I am married to a great-grand daughter of Deputy Sheriff Tiano. His last child passed away last week at the age of 96. His name was John Raymond Tiano but his moniker throughout his life was “Sheriff” after his father. Deputy Sheriff Tiano is remembered by a huge and wonderful family.
