Carl Strom

Police Officer Carl Strom was shot and killed when he interrupted a burglary at the Bingham State Bank.

He was attacked before being shot and killed while attempting to arrest one of the men. His body was dragged across the sheet and placed in a shed behind a store. His body was found the following morning after the burglary was discovered by employees reporting to work.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 79th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
