Norman Alexander Stewart

Detective Norman Stewart was shot and killed by a 18 year-old youth who grabbed his partner's service revolver and shot him during a narcotics raid in the Hill District section of the city. Detective Stewart managed to return fire killing his assailant.

Detective Stewart had served with the agency for 15 years and had previously served with the United States Army during the Korean War.

On today, the 32nd anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
