Sergeant Larrell Smith was shot and killed during a SWAT raid while serving a search warrant.

He was the third man on the team making an entry through a window. As the team entered, the suspect, who was flanking the team, opened fire and struck Sergeant Smith in the head. Other team members returned fire and killed the subject.

Dearest Father,
I have so many fond memories of you, and me from fishing the Indiana ponds to being at my all star Little League games I always wanted you to be proud of me and I’m continually striving to be the best father & man you taught me to be I have a amazing family just wish you were around us I talk about you all the time I will always have you right here in my heart I know you look after me at my work, as I do a dangers job as well I will always be intuitive of my so rounding and keep my head on a swivel you taught me this when I was young. As another year passes I will always have the most respect & love a Son could ever have for his father I miss you Dad.
