Lieutenant Vance Andrews was killed in an automobile accident on State Route 13 in Mt. Vernon when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a bridge abutment.

Lieutenant Andrews had served with the Ohio State Highway Patrol for 12 years and was stationed at Columbus. He was survived by his wife, son, two daughters, parents, and brother.
