Dear Grandfather, I never had the honor to meet you, but my whole life I have been so very proud of you and your service and sacrifice. You perished on my Dad's(your son's) 7th birthday leaving him, his brother, sister and their young mother to carry on without you. Rest assured they all lived fruitful and productive lives. You would have been so proud and you left quite a legacy. RIP Dear Grandfather from your loving granddaughter
