What a tragedy. Read the background to this incident and learned that after losing her husband and two young children, SGT Palmer's wife received over 2.5 million from the Veteran's Administration for releasing her ex-husband who was known to be violent. His wife, most assuredly suffering from a broken heart, died less than fifteen years later at the age of 56.

So sad.
