Booker and I partnered primarily working the Southside of Memphis. The day of his tragic accident, the department was short on manpower and I was sent to the north side of the city, while he was sent to the Milbranch area. I did not know of the tragedy until I returned to the precinct.

I went to see him at the hospital several times, but his loving family was there in so much pain and anguish.

Booker, I think of you often. You were a great partner and I miss your witty and sincere personality. God bless you, my friend.
