I always remember her as "Mrs Shanaman" as she was George's mother back in the early 50's. George was our neighborhood friend of whom myself along with my brothers would play with almost daily. As time passed the Shanaman's moved and we grew older. I finished high school and went into the Marines. I returned in 1967 where I looked them up. I was lucky enough to find both Mr and Mrs Shanaman in Redford and had a pleasant visit. I think at that time George was in the service himself and wasn't present. I only found this tragic event while looking the family up on the net.
