Dear Cheryl,
It was 38 years ago this week that I received that dreaded call as a Rookie Police Officer, I'll never forget how calm you were in the face of danger and severe injury, I'll never forget the next day when I honorably guarded you at the hospital and you thanked me for being there, It is I that thanks you for your service and sacrifice, not a day goes by that I don't think of you.
Rest in Peace.
