Clyde Sears

Deputy Sheriff Clyde Sears was shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance.

Deputy Sears had taken the day off due to an illness but had responded to the call because the sheriff was out of town and the suspect was known to him. When he arrived at the scene, the suspect told him to come inside. As he did so, the suspect shot him in the abdomen, killing him.

The suspect was convicted of murdering Deputy Sears and sentenced to life in prison.

Deputy Sears had served with the Bacon County Sheriff's Office for one year. He was survived by his wife, daughter, parents, and four sisters.

I don't know you but I appreciate your service. This might seem far fetched but I was watch one of the crime shows like and behold they showed a picture of Clyde Sears sheriffs department. I was stunned. I married Clyde Dwayne Sears from Georgia back in 1980. His parents were Clyde Sears and Bernice (Strickland) Sears We have a son Dwayne Russell Sears. Coincidence or FAMILY.
