Officer Schiavana , your and Officer Beauregard funeral was the first police funeral I attended after being hired. I was only 2 years on the job and I was both awed and intimidated by the ceremony. It was the first time I really understood the meaning of the brother/sisterhood that I had joined. I remembered that feeling every time I attended a LODD funeral in New England for the following 32 years until I retired.

Thank you for helping me understand what I was part of and the heroes who set the standards before me. Rest Well brother.
