William D. Albers

Officer Albers was shot and killed in the emergency room of Johns Hopkins Hospital by a mental patient who overpowered him and gained control of his service weapon.

As the two struggled for the revolver Officer Albers was shot five times. Officer Albers managed to regain control of his weapon and fired the last round into the suspect's chest killing him instantly.
