Austin Amos Price

Officer Amos Price was shot and stabbed to death while attempting to arrest a man for being drunk in public. As he made the arrest the suspect stabbed him several times. He then gained possession of Officer Price's service weapon and shot him several times.

The suspect was convicted of Officer Price's death and sentenced to prison. He was released after completing his sentence.

Officer Price was buried at Stony Point Cemetery, Alexander County, North Carolina.
