I, like Wendi, just stumbled across this page. I miss you Dad. On 08/01/1990, we lost a father, a friend, and a protector. Police work was your life, and you were good at it. You were stern but fair and held everyone accountable for their actions, even us. I thank you for that. You taught me to do right by myself and those around me. I remember that day, we had our talk. We as a family had been through a lot, but we worked it out. I remember getting the plane, the one you crashed in, that Saturday and flying to Auburn to meet my flight instructor and back, through a thunderstorm. We both got a lot of things off our chests and put it all right between us and in the eyes of God. But when I got that call just a few days later, drove to the crash site, and saw the plane and the numbers on the tail, my world shattered. But, you always taught me to be strong and I have tried to be that since that day. I hate that you could not be there when I married my wife and when your two Granddaughters were born, but I knew you were then and still now watch over us. Until I see you again....love you much.
