It's May 2024 and we are taking Exit 308 off of I20 west as we head to Lake Coleman. It's a bitter sweet drive passing thru Baird. Gene and I married in March of 1974. We lost you that same July. Just drove by the little 2 bedroom home you rented. Remembering the fun and laughter as you "radared" how fast we could run carrying a metal clipboard. Baird was our pit stop as we headed back to Texas Tech. It was a tough summer of 74 as we came home every weekend. We love and miss you. 50 years of our life lived but grateful for the 27 years of memories you left us.
