I respectfully ask that you DENY PAROLE to Eddie Matos, inmate #90T4422. This inmate is responsible for the murder of Police Officer Anthony T. Dwyer of the NYPD in 1989.

Police Officer Anthony Dwyer and other officers responded to a robbery at a fast-food restaurant in Times Square. Officer Dwyer chased one of the suspects, inmate #90T4422, to the roof of the building, where the inmate pushed him off the roof into an air shaft. At the time, inmate #90T4422 was on probation and had an extensive criminal record from the age of 18.

Only 23 years old at the time of his death, Officer Dwyer had been a dedicated officer with the NYPD for two years. Officer Anthony Dwyer was a respected member of his community, where he served as a volunteer firefighter and a religious education teacher. Most importantly, Anthony was a devoted son and brother to his parents, two brothers, and a sister.

Parole is a privilege and not a right. As a concerned citizen and in the interest of public safety, I again respectfully ask that you DENY PAROLE to inmate #90T4422. Justice demands that he be made to spend every remaining day of his FULL SENTENCE in prison.
