This breaks my heart because this dog gave his life for something he could never really understand. Especially this way how he was killed is just so personal and devastating. May his spirit play and relax over the rainbow bridge.

K9 Bane, You were chosen by God for a specific reason. You and your hand-picked partner were called to do what only you two could accomplish together. The sorrow in our hearts and the pain we feel as supporters cannot begin to compare with the suffering of your partner, family and department. God will avenge your death - you are especially precious to Him and can now rest in Heaven and play with K9 Rooster! Let your partner's heart know that now, you are well, and that you all will be together someday.

Lord God of unfailing love, to those families of our beloved nation, the United States of America, who are suffering in the wake of the loss of a Law Enforcement K-9 family member in the Line-of-Duty, help us to provide support. Allow us to be their rock and fortress in a time of immense pain and uncertainty. Help us to keep them safe and nourished in their time of grief, suffering beside them as we move toward healing and reconciliation. Lord God, in Your compassionate mercy, hear my prayer. Amen.
