K9 Fredy, how unfair and sad that you were called home at the beginning of what would have been a stellar career. You are beautiful, inside and out, and your gift was in the form of your spectacular nose! Only God knows why you were at the wrong place at just that moment. He is caring for you now in His eternally loving arms in Heaven. May He bless your partner, family and department with peace; let them remember your greatness, not the pain of loss.

Lord God of unfailing love, to those families of our beloved nation, the United States of America, who are suffering in the wake of the loss of a Law Enforcement K-9 family member in the Line-of-Duty, help us to provide support. Allow us to be their rock and fortress in a time of immense pain and uncertainty. Help us to keep them safe and nourished in their time of grief, suffering beside them as we move toward healing and reconciliation. Lord God, in Your compassionate mercy, hear my prayer. In Christ Jesus’ name, and by His authority, I pray. Amen.

Scriptures Supporting Law Enforcement K-9s:

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” [Matthew 5:4 ESV]

“And ALL flesh shall see the salvation of God.” [Luke 3:6 ESV]

“For NOT ALL flesh is the same, but there is one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish.” [1 Corinthians 15:39 ESV]

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” [Matthew 25:23 ESV]
